Day 1 — Arrive Darwin • Set-up & city unwind

Day 2 — Darwin to Kakadu region • Wetlands & lookouts
Depart for Kakadu with planned breaks and a steady, comfortable pace.

Arrive and settle in for a quiet evening outside the city.

Day 3 — Kakadu depth day • Landscapes + short walks
A full day to explore Kakadu’s variety with flexible routing based on access.
Choose a mix of viewpoints and short walks; longer hikes only if conditions suit.

Day 5 — Katherine to Mataranka • Thermal pools reset

Soak time at thermal pools (season and access permitting) with relaxed pacing.
Easy walks and picnic-style stops; no rush and plenty of downtime.
Afternoon at leisure to rest and recharge.

Day 6 — Mataranka to Tennant Creek • Outback highway day
Begin the outback highway run with structured rest and fuel stops.
We keep timing realistic — long distances but comfortable pacing.
Arrive Tennant Creek area and settle in for a quiet night.
Evening is for rest, hydration and next-day readiness.

Day 7 — Tennant Creek to Alice Springs • Red Centre arrival

Arrive Alice Springs and check in; light orientation around town.

Day 10 — Kings Canyon to Uluru • Canyon walk + Uluru sunset
Morning offers the option for a rim walk or shorter walk depending on fitness and heat.
After the walk, continue towards Uluru with realistic transit timing and breaks.
Arrive Uluru region and settle in; prep for sunset viewing.
Sunset time is reserved to experience the colour shifts at Uluru.
Overnight in Uluru/Yulara area.
Day 11 — Uluru & Kata Tjuta day • Icons at a calm pace
Sunrise option followed by a comfortable, flexible day around the iconic sites.
