Itinerary
Welcome on board with JainVoyagers Group. Your Road Voyage is curated end-to-end with clear routing, realistic drives, and on-ground support across Australia’s South Coast and Tasmania.
Day 1: Melbourne → Great Ocean Road → Apollo Bay
Welcome briefing and an easy departure out of Melbourne to start your coastal road rhythm. Drive the Great Ocean Road with planned photo pull-outs, beaches and scenic bends. Arrive Apollo Bay for a relaxed afternoon and sunset esplanade walk. Evening is intentionally light—rest up for Otways and Shipwreck Coast tomorrow.
Day 2: Apollo Bay → Otways → Twelve Apostles → Port Campbell
Begin with cool rainforest air in the Otways and a short waterfall walk to stretch your legs. Continue to Shipwreck Coast lookouts, taking your time for photos and cliff-top viewpoints. Arrive Port Campbell and settle in with an easy village evening and dinner suggestions. Your roadbook includes alternates if wind or rain changes the best viewing order.
Day 3: Port Campbell → Melbourne/Geelong → Overnight Ferry to Devonport
Return inland towards Melbourne/Geelong with a mid-way break and smooth drive pacing. Check-in for Spirit of Tasmania with clear timing guidance and port support notes. Overnight sailing lets you wake up in Tasmania ready to explore without losing a travel day. If sailing times shift, we restructure the day so key experiences remain intact.
Day 4: Devonport → Cradle Mountain Region → Sheffield / Launceston
Arrive Devonport and head to the highlands for cooler air, forests and mountain scenery. Spend time around Cradle Mountain region with a choice of gentle boardwalks and short trails. Continue to a comfortable overnight base (Sheffield or Launceston) depending on routing flow. Evening at leisure with local dining notes and an early rest.
Day 5: Launceston → Freycinet (Wineglass Bay Region) → East Coast Stay
Drive towards Tasmania’s East Coast with scenic stops and optional farm-gate tastings. Arrive in the Freycinet region and choose an easy lookout walk for sweeping bay views. Check in near Coles Bay / East Coast for a calm seaside evening. We keep timing flexible so you can enjoy the light and avoid rushing trails.
Day 6: East Coast → Richmond Stop → Hobart Waterfront
Enjoy a relaxed start, then drive south with optional beach pauses or viewpoint pull-outs. Stop in historic Richmond for a quick stroll and photo moment before continuing to Hobart. Arrive Hobart waterfront with time for cafés, galleries and Salamanca-style lanes. Optional evening add-on: Mount Wellington viewpoint if skies are clear.
Day 7: Hobart → Bruny Island Day Escape → Hobart
Take an early drive to the Bruny Island ferry and explore cliffs, beaches and panoramic lookouts. Add food-focused stops—cheese, oysters or chocolate—based on what’s open and in season. Return to Hobart with time for a relaxed evening and waterfront dining options. The day remains flexible so weather can guide which lookouts you prioritise.
Day 8: Hobart → Tasman Peninsula (Cliffs & Caves) → Hobart
Head to the Tasman Peninsula for dramatic coastal formations and high cliff viewpoints. Choose a mix of short walks and easy lookouts to match your group’s comfort level. Return to Hobart for your final full night, with shopping or museum options. We build in buffers for road conditions, photo stops and safe daylight driving.
Day 9: Hobart → Devonport / Depart (Ferry or Flight Connections)
Enjoy a final morning in Hobart, then begin the return drive across Tasmania with planned breaks. Arrive Devonport for ferry check-in, or connect to flights if your partner program uses air returns. Clear departure guidance is provided for vehicle return and document handover. Tour ends smoothly with JainVoyagers post-trip support for partners and future routing.
