Day 1: Auckland Arrival & Easy City Drive

Day 2: Auckland → Rotorua (Geothermal Heartland)
Drive through the Waikato region with scenic breaks and quick local tastings if time allows.
Arrive Rotorua for geothermal landscapes — mud pools, steam fields and mineral springs.
Add a lakeside sunset stop and a short native forest walk for a calmer finish.
Overnight in Rotorua, centrally located for easy access.
Day 3: Rotorua → Taupō / Tongariro Region
Morning at leisure for optional Māori culture or a redwoods walk, then depart toward Lake Taupō.
Stop at key viewpoints: lake lookouts and easy short walks that work for most fitness levels.
Continue toward Tongariro for dramatic volcanic scenery and crisp alpine air.
