Day 1: Melbourne → Great Ocean Road → Apollo Bay
Welcome on board and begin your South Coast Road Voyage with a smooth city exit and Surf Coast warm-up stops. Follow the Great Ocean Road’s best curves and viewpoints with short, easy breaks built into the plan. Arrive Apollo Bay for a sunset coastal walk and relaxed dinner recommendations. Overnight in a walkable town base so your day ends early and comfortable.
Day 2: Apollo Bay → Otways → Twelve Apostles → Port Campbell
Start with an Otways rainforest walk and waterfall stop, paced for comfort and photos. Continue to Shipwreck Coast lookouts, arriving near the Twelve Apostles with time for golden-hour light. Settle into Port Campbell and enjoy a calm evening in a small coastal village. Your route notes include parking points and short-trail options to avoid long hikes.
Day 3: Port Campbell → Return to Melbourne → Ferry to Devonport (Overnight)
Drive back via inland roads for a smoother return, with a planned stop for refreshments and rest. Arrive Melbourne/Geelong port area with clear check-in guidance for the Spirit of Tasmania sailing. Overnight ferry crosses Bass Strait—rest well and wake up ready for Tasmania’s scenery. If schedules vary, we adjust to a day sailing or alternative port approach without losing key stops.
Day 4: Devonport → Cradle Mountain Region → Launceston
Arrive in Devonport and head inland towards Tasmania’s alpine landscapes and cool forest roads. Spend time near Cradle Mountain region with a choice of gentle walks and scenic boardwalks. Continue to Launceston for evening riverside dining and an easy check-in. The day is designed to feel adventurous without pushing long, tiring drives.
Day 5: Launceston → Wine Country / Farm Gates → Hobart
Begin with an unhurried morning, then drive south with optional farm-gate produce stops en route. Arrive Hobart and enjoy the waterfront precinct with time for cafés and relaxed exploration. Optional: Mount Wellington/Kunanyi viewpoint for sweeping city and coastline panoramas. Evening at leisure with dining suggestions matching your group’s preferences.
Day 6: Hobart → Tasman Peninsula Highlights → Hobart
Take a day run to the Tasman Peninsula for dramatic cliffs, blowholes and coastal viewpoints. Choose 1–2 short walks based on weather, keeping the day flexible and comfortable. Return to Hobart with time to enjoy Salamanca-style streets, galleries and local shops. We include timing buffers so you never have to rush the best photo moments.
Day 7: Hobart → Devonport Ferry Check-in / Depart
Wrap up with a relaxed morning—market stroll or café time depending on the day. Drive back towards Devonport with planned breaks and clear fuel/arrival guidance.
