Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive Tokyo, pick up your rental car when ready, and settle into a well-connected hotel with a park-once strategy to keep driving minimal. Use the afternoon for a gentle city loop focused on atmosphere: a traditional lane, a skyline viewpoint, or a shopping street. You’ll receive clear notes on parking machines, lane discipline and navigation settings so the next days feel confident. Evening is free with curated dining suggestions and the best departure time window to avoid morning congestion.
Day 2
Drive to Kawaguchiko with scenic rest stops and a café break timed for good photo light. Explore Fuji Five Lakes viewpoints, short nature trails and optional museums based on your interests. We provide a best-time schedule for different viewpoints and simple alternates if clouds hide the peak. Overnight locally so you can try an early morning Fuji frame before moving on, with dinner guidance tailored to your hotel area.
Day 3
Depart for the Kiso Valley using comfortable highways and countryside segments with planned service-area breaks. Enjoy a heritage walk through post towns at your chosen pace, including shortcut options if you prefer lighter walking. Browse craft shops, small food stalls and quiet lanes that feel distinctly old Japan. Overnight in a peaceful valley base with clear notes for tomorrow’s mountain road etiquette and safe, easy refuelling points.
Day 4
Drive to Nagoya with a simple arrival plan and optional snack-market stops en route. Explore the castle district and shopping streets using our parking-zone map and short walking loops for efficiency. Enjoy a food-focused evening with must-try local flavours and vegetarian-friendly alternatives clearly marked. Overnight in Nagoya with a clean next-day route plan for either Tokyo return or onward travel.
Day 5
Morning at leisure for a market stroll or coffee stop, then return to Tokyo or end in Nagoya as per your onward plan. We provide the cleanest routing for car return, airport access and toll-gate timing, including buffer time for return formalities. Add a last-minute shopping stop if time allows without compromising your departure. Support continues until drop-off is complete and your onward connection is smooth.
